FREQUENT QUESTIONS
Clients often ask me ‘how do I select my music?’
What atmosphere are you trying to achieve? Do you want an emotional ceremony or something more upbeat and quirky? How about something your guests will recognise as meaningful to you and your partner’s story?
Some people have songs that are sentimental to them, think about music that was playing when you first saw your partner across a dimly lit bar or the song that was in the background as your partner got down on one knee? Do you have a song that gets the two of you up dancing or reminiscing about the best times? THOSE are your song choices right there.
As always, I’m more than happy to recommend songs to complete your list if you need some inspiration.
I also offer a consultation to listen to and select some of your wedding music. You and your partner can browse my repertoire list and request any samples you would like to hear live. This is a great choice for people who have no idea what they would like but would love to explore all the different genres the harp has to offer!
I have 5 different packages that offer music at various different times of your day which include music as guests are seated, during your ceremony (including entrance music, signing the register and exit music), during your drinks reception and finally your evening meal.
I am however flexible to incorporate extra songs into the ceremony and/ or at any additional points during the day that aren’t already listed.
Of course! I love expanding my repertoire! As long as you give me at least one month’s notice to purchase, arrange for harp and learn your new song, I’d be more than happy to accommodate your musical wishes! I love a new challenge so no genre is off limits!
I’ll require your choices at least one month in advance as follows:
- 1 choice for bridal entrance
- 2 choices for signing the register
- 1 choice for exit music.
Absolutely! I only take on one booking per day which means you have the flexibility to change your package whenever you wish.
After deciding which package you would like to go for, I will then draw up a contract for you which you can then fill and sign digitally and return to me. The deposit to secure the date will be detailed in the contract and accompanying email. Once that’s completed, you’re booked!
As a member of the Musicians’ Union, I have full Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and can provide written details and evidence on request. This covers accidental damage to my instrument and wherever it is placed or kept.
In the unlikely event that this happens, I will always try to find a replacement harpist who will endeavour to play the same repertoire we have agreed on. The fee will be transferred across from me to them without any need for extra transactions from the client. In the even unlikelier event that I cannot provide this alternative service, I will provide a full refund.
Yes! I’m only human! I’ll require a short 10-15 minute break every hour or so depending on the timings of your wedding day.
If a venue has particularly difficult access to where I need to play, a heads up would be great so I can organise people to help me with my instrument.. it’s super heavy! A few steps isn’t an issue though.
Highly recommend Charlotte - it made the ceremony so much more special can’t wait to see the video and hear her beautiful music again x
Charlotte played our wedding on the 14th of May and was absolutely wonderful. It was one of our highlights from the day, many of our guests also commented on how fabulous she was. We had her for our drinks reception and during our meal and she was incredible. She has an amazing and vast repertoire which fit our Disney theme perfectly.
Would highly highly recommend Charlotte!!! What a positive and wonderful experience we had from start to end Charlotte went above and beyond for us and learnt new tunes and even duetted with our rabbi’s son for a piece during our ceremony (which was a surprise for me!) and was so emotional. Our guests absolutely loved you during the drinks reception too! If you want a harp at your event then your have to have Charlotte! Lots of love, Hannah and Daniel Goldfarb x
Charlotte played our wedding Last Saturday at the lodge at Loch Lomond and honestly I could not recommend her highly enough, the communication throughout was excellent right through to picking the perfect songs for the key moments in the ceremony. It was just a beautiful addition to our perfect day. Thanks again
